Vote Or Die
My buddy Shea is a talented musician who I've done photos for a few times. He's in the lead in a contest Randy River is holding. You should go vote for him!

Music!!!
So I found a cool way to add my music to my blog! You can see a playlist on the right, push play! It's scrollable, so there are sometimes more songs than are immediately visible, like now! I could have turned auto-play on, but I know how annoying that is. So if you're ever looking for awesome new music, put the playlist on and see what happens. I'm hoping that what happens is you minimize this window and listen to the whole playlist which I spent a lot of time making! I'll update it from time to time. And with that I leave you with a message from Havens Corners Church:

A Fun Day Off!
Had today off, and so far it's been great!
Woke up this morning and took the bandage off my tattoo. Put some vitamin E on it and took a shower. So far looks pretty cool, though it's only half done, and no red yet. But at least it's the bottom half that's done so when I wear a normal tee you can hardly tell it's not done. My next appointment is on October 18th to finish it up. It's been years since my last tattoo, I forgot how addictive it can be; I'm already thinking of what to get next. Kyra wants to get a tattoo some time soon so I'm gunna go with her and possibly get one at the same time. She's made me promise to let her break my hand while she gets it done.
Today Andi and I hung out for the day. We went to Dal's for lunch, and then she surprised me by getting the bill, which was cool of her. From there we headed to Value Village and tried on Halloween costumes, clothes and accessories. Lauren always finds cool things there.
Tonight Kyra and I might go see a movie. Tropic Thunder is playing, but she's seen it. I'm thinking Dark Knight, cause she's never seen it, and I can never see it enough. Loved that movie. After that I think it's computer games with Chad.
And with that, I leave you with a picture of my purchases from today:

Ouch
In progress!
Currently sitting in the chair getting my tattoo! I missed the sting of the needle, LOL. Almost done the outline... Owie.
So this one is a half sleeve of traffic lights, all red. It's to commemorate my road-trip and signafies one of the many lessons I learned from it. I had a million reasons not to go on that trip, but it was just something I had to do. Even as my friends backed out, money ran out and my car broke down, I was determined to go. And in the end I did, and I'm so proud that I did. There's always a million reasons not to do something, sometimes you just gotta run the red...

Quarter Of A Century!
So I'm 25 years old... Kinda weird. My Dad was this age when I was born! Yikes.
Had another great Birthday. My past few ones have been really good, and this one kept the tradition going. Marcus is back from England for a few days, and everyone was going to the King's Head Pub, which coincided with my Birthday being the next day, so it was kind of a duel event. Good times. Got free drinks all night and at midnight everyone wished me a happy Bday. It was great to see Marcus again, missed that brit.
Spent my actual Birthday with my new friend Kyra! We went to Mongo's for lunch, spent like 2 hours there, then headed back to my place so she could meet Starbuck. She loves animals and we played with the puppy for quite a while, then took her for a walk at the park. After that we went and got ice-cream and watched Run Fatboy Run with Brett, Linda and Jeff.
Tomorrow I get my tattoo and I'm very excited! I'll post pix once it's done. Julie agreed to work a few hours for me so I don't have to worry about being late for work. It does suck that I have to work at all on the same day I'm getting inked, but I'll survive. It's been years since my last tattoo, so I'm quite psyched!

Homeless Hurdle
I went to go hang out with Ashley last night and on my way to my car there was a homeless person sleeping on an old dirty blanket on the path that leads to the parking lot. I had no other choice, so I just stepped over him, lol. I've always been known for my sensitivity and compassion.

iPhone!
So I've cracked. I'm getting an Iphone. Went to the wireless store at the mall and got all the details and started setting up a plan but they didn't have the phone there, so I'm going to finish the activation tomorrow when they have it. I'm selling my Ipod Touch to Omar at work for 160$, that helps offset the cost. And because I work for Rogers Video I get half off my cell bill! With everything, I'm almost breaking even. Considering the awesomeness that I'm getting, I'm losing very little money. I'm going to pay for one more month of Telus, then cancel my contract for the remaining 5 months. Unless I can find someone who wants a cell for 6 months, lol, then they can just finish my contract with my razr!
I'm very psyched! Tomorrow I'm going to write an entry from work on my break on my new iPhone!
I've come to realize I can't stop buying things and spending money. I cut up my credit card, and it did help some, but only enough to delay the inevitable. This may sound defeatest but it's made me realize something very good: I need a better job if I want a better lifestyle. So I've officially applied for a few positions with the government. I doubt I'll get it first time around, but I'm just gunna keep applying until I get one. All their positions start at roughly twice what I'm making now, so that would be more than enough to support my lifestyle AND get out of debt. Hopefully I get it sooner rather than later, but in the end it's only a matter of time.

Current Sounds
The Verve - Forth: A good listen. Downloaded in the absence of anything else to download, lol. It had some catchy tunes, though can be a bit repetitive at times.
Patrick Park - Everyone's in Everyone: Heard this on thesixtyone.com, downloaded his latest album. Pretty good the whole way through. It was good listening music at the lake with my Mom, who can't stomach any hard music, lol.
The Dodos - Beware The Maniacs: Also found these guys on thesixtyone.com, seems to be in step with what I've been listening to lately. They have a newer album than this one, it's called Visiter, and it's also quite good, maybe better.
Royal Wood - A Good Enough Day: First heard this guy on a very touching music video on Youtube. I believe Tim sent it to me on Stumble. The song was great and so was the video, so eventually I got around to searching his latest album for download. Wasn't expecting to find it, Canadian artists tend to be harder to find. But I got lucky. Great album the whole way through. I linked the video I was talking about below.
